Evidence and sourcing
We link material factual claims to specific documents wherever available, prioritizing original statements, official records and technical documentation. Government and manufacturer statements are attributed claims, not independent proof. We identify secondary reporting when original material is unavailable and distinguish confirmed facts, estimates and our analysis.
Technical claims and uncertainty
Specifications must identify the relevant model or configuration and source. Fleet size, equipment losses and procurement announcements do not by themselves establish operational readiness, surveillance coverage or delivery dates. We label uncertainty and avoid presenting scenarios as established outcomes.
Editorial independence and disclosures
Editorial judgments should follow the evidence rather than a government, political party, company or advertiser’s preferred account. Any sponsorship, material conflict of interest or paid relationship relevant to an article must be disclosed alongside that work. Commentary and analysis should be identifiable as such.
Corrections and updates
When a factual error is identified, we correct the article and add a dated note explaining a material change. Updated information is distinguished from a correction to the original reporting. Readers can submit a correction through E.K. King’s Medium profile, identifying the article, disputed statement and supporting evidence.
Authorship and tools
