As global aviation continues its recovery, aerospace manufacturers are competing to secure long-term production programs that will shape the industry’s next decade. At this year’s Farnborough International Airshow, Taiwan’s Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) announced a significant milestone by securing more than NT$22 billion in new contracts with international commercial aviation and aircraft engine manufacturers.

The agreements follow earlier military aviation cooperation announced during the event and cover a broad range of aerospace products, including aircraft engine components, large structural assemblies, advanced composite structures, and high-value airframe parts.

More Than Just a Large Order

In aerospace manufacturing, winning a contract is only part of the story.

Unlike many industries, aerospace suppliers must pass years of technical qualification, quality certification, and production validation before becoming part of an aircraft program. Once approved, however, suppliers often remain involved throughout the aircraft’s production lifecycle, creating stable business opportunities that can last for many years.
